Art Therapy
Art therapy is a form of treatment that uses art and creative interventions to help you.
If words are hard to find at times, I can use my BSc Hons qualification in Art Therapy to help all that is hidden, unspoken, and unsaid, emerge into realisation.
Thus, creating a ‘New Spring’ or ‘New Beginning’ for my clients.
Just like the Snowdrops, Daffodils, and Sticky Buds we see emerging in Springtime.
“Plunging into creating takes you into a different state of consciousness. Cares and worries of the day and self-evaluation are temporarily shed while you focus on the evolving product. Entering the creative process with a spirit of play reduces the possibility of being overly concerned with the product. We don’t need to be serious as we create. In fact, being childlike or free-spirited is an asset.”
(Natalie Rogers (2000) ‘The Creative Connection; Expressive Arts as Healing’)
In addition to my services at my practice in Mullingar, I can also provide remote art therapy sessions via secure online video chat so that you can receive the support you need without travelling from home.
